Class 13 Details:
Permanently coupled master and slave units, converted from 08s for hump shunting in Tinsley yard. The cab of the slave unit was removed and both parts of the unit were specially weighted. Introduced: 1965
Engine: Two English Electric 6 cyl. Total 800 bhp.
Weight: 120 tons
Brake Force: 66 tons
Maximum Tractive Effort: 70000lb
Transmission: Four English Electric nose-suspended traction motors. Double reduction gear drive.
Driving Wheel Diameter: 4'6"
Route Availability: 8
Maximum Speed: 20mph.
